Teach All Nations Ministries Inc. Our HISTORY
HISTORY OF TEACH ALL NATIONS In 1993 the vision for Teach All Nations Ministries was planted in the heart of God’s Servant, Elder Marvin Gregory Sr.. The Lord spoke with Elder Gregory in specifics pertaining to a global reach Word ministry. Emphasis was placed on the teaching of the gospel, witnessing the power of the Holy Ghost, and preparing the Church for the return of Christ.
The mandate is derived from Matthew 28:19,20 that reads as: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” These verses represent the greatest commission given; to make disciples all over the world and to teach disciples all over the world. The scriptural text exhibits the conjunction “and” along with making disciples, The Lord emphasized “teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:” In observation of the triune Godhead, it is necessary to teach from a biblical wholelistic perspective because “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, the Word was God. To know God, one must accept the God of Genesis through Revelation. Separating only the timeline, understanding the move of God through ages, yet applying wisdom and knowledge pertaining to the scriptures as relative to our days and times.
As Elder Gregory continued in his faithful service to God and His people, the Lord began to confirm all that He spoke to His servant by providing avenues of travel to distant lands of old allowing him to retrace the very steps of patriarch saints, disciples and even those of Christ himself. In order to understand the truest sense of a global reach ministry, it was necessary to share in the cultural ethnicities that he would eventually be sent to minister to. In his travels he received revelation in depth to the persecution of the saints for their strong belief in Jesus the Christ.
On December 31, 2002, the first service in the name of Teach All Nations Ministries began at the Pope AFB Chapel in Fayetteville North Carolina. Pastor Gregory was allowed to provide and oversee a denominational worship service that had never before in the historic records of Pope AFB been offered to the military community. Pastor Gregory and his family began the service at 11:00pm in praise and worship, reading of the Word of the Lord, and prayed the New Year in. This praise service earmarked the birth of the seed planted in the heart of the servant twelve years earlier. On January 12, 2003 at 6:00pm the 1st “official” service was held extending invitation to the community at large. The Pentecostal environment proved conducive to the needs of the military community. The country was in the state of war, deploying young airmen and soldiers to the middle east to provide freedom to a country that could not fathom the concept(Iraq). Pastor Gregory himself was under orders to deploy in March 2003, yet went forth with the purpose of God.
During his deployment to the Middle East, Pastor Gregory was tasked with performing the duties of Chaplain to many of the troops that deployed with him. Many received the precious gift of salvation and the ordinances of the church were performed in the midst of wartime. He ministered weekly to people from every ethnic background, gender, culture, color and creed. Truly, the vineyard was plentiful and the laborours were few. Needless to say; the business of souls took precedence for Pastor Gregory and the favor of the Lord was upon him to do His bidding. The gospel service that Pastor Gregory began prior to deploying continued to provide a Pentecostal form of worship to Pope and Fort Bragg troops. As time continued, the Lord continued to speak to Pastor Gregory with the vision of Teach All Nations branching out not only to the military communities but also to the Cumberland County communities at large. As a part of the vision, Teach All Nations moved to its own edifice in June of 2004. As part of the vision, the membership and community, and contractor volunteers banded together to renovate the 671 W. Manchester Rd. Spring Lake North Carolina, building into a beautiful church edifice. Since the move, the ministry has continued to grow and reach out into the communities to help uplift: “Teaching every race to run the only race that matters.”
Pastor Gregory believes in strong leadership and accountability. His first major leadership appointment was that of then, Head Deacon Barry Merritt which also served as Chief Administrator. Pastor Gregory made several more major appointments by the leading of the Holy Ghost and he instituted leadership training and developed a continuing program of training for all leadership. (The structure is listed within this manual) He also was charged with immediate stewardship of every member in the church. He consistently “provokes all members to good works”, by quickly placing them in various areas of ministry. Whether it be chorus, praise dance, bus ministry, audio visual ministry, television ministry, internet ministry, administration, ushers, armor bearer corp., church maintenance ministry or any area where their gifts talents and anointing may be at the disposal of God to be used at anytime.
